10th International Scientific Conference on the influence of 1821 on literature and art

The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece continues the International Scientific Conferences on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821 and announces that the 10th International Scientific Conference, on “The influence of 1821 on literature and art”, will be held in Athens on the 27th and 28th November 2020.

The 10th International Scientific Conference of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece completes the program of the ten International Scientific Conferences, held under its auspices since 2012.

A central theme of the Conference is the influence of the Revolution of 1821, its events and personalities on art, and in particular on literature, but also on fine arts, music, theater, even cinema and television.

The Court wishes to highlight the influence of both the effects and the messages of 1821 on art and social, intellectual and daily life, in Greece and abroad.
