Wishes from Metropolitan of Lagadas to Metropolitan of Philippopolis

Metropolitan Ioannis of Lagadas wished all the best to Metropolitan Nicholas of Philippolis, whose name day was on Friday, and told him to uphold unity within the Church and to continue his significant work.

Metropolitan Ioannis went for two days to Bulgaria (December 5 and 6), where he participated in the celebration of the name day of Metropolitan Nicholas of Philippolis. The Metropolitan’s visit to Bulgaria took place a few days after the co-Liturgy of the two Metropolitans at the Church of Saint Athanasios in Lagadas, where Metropolitan Nicholas of Philippolis had commemorated Metropolitan Epiphaniy of Kyiv.

Metropolitan Ioannis of Lagadas presided over the Vespers Service. He addressed Metropolitan Nicholas and wished him all the best. He also told him to continue his excellent work and to uphold unity within the Church like Saint Nicholas had done. Metropolitan Nicholas of Philippolis presided over the Archieratic co-Liturgy, which attended Bishops Demetrios of Safita (Patriarchate of Antioch), Sionios of Veliki, Iakovos of Constantia, and Arseniy of Znepol.
