The Feast of the Placing of the Cincture of the Most Holy Mother of God was celebrated solemnly today, Friday, September 13, at the Vatopedi Monastery.
Metropolitan George of Guinea, Exarch of the Patriarchate of Alexandria in Athens, presided over the Divine Liturgy.
The Abbot of Vatopedi Monastery, Elder Ephraim, clergy and hieromonks from Mount Athos concelebrated the Divine Liturgy.
It should be noted that the Deputy Minister for Macedonia and Thrace, Theodoros Karaoglou, the outgoing Civil Governor of Mount Athos, Konstantinos Dimtsas, and hundreds of pilgrims from all over the world attended the festal Divine Liturgy.
