Permission to celebrate three Divine Liturgies per year calls on Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, the Uniate Head of Ukraine, Archbishop Sviatoslav.

“On behalf of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, we appeal to you, as the head of the Ukrainian Government, to give us permission to celebrate in Saint Sophia’s Cathedral in Kiev on April 7, June 16 and September 21 every year,” Uniate Archbishop says in a letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

It is noted that the Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Church of Ukraine appealed to Archbishop Sviatoslav not to perform a Divine Liturgy in Saint Sophia because it is the Cathedral of the Metropolitan of Kiev.
