Missionary tour of Patriarch of Alexandria in Malawi

Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria continues his missionary tour by visiting the Holy Diocese of Malawi, accompanied by Metropolitan Daniel of Axum and Bishop Fotios of Malawi.

After Doxology, Bishop Fotios of Malawi was enthroned, followed by the Patriarch’s visit to the schools around the temple, where 500 children study, and the parish’s kitchen soups.

The Patriarch and his entourage then departed for the Church of the Holy Trinity, followed by a Clergy Assembly, during which Patriarch Theodore urged to imitate the great saint of our century, Saint Nektarios, whose repose the Patriarchate of Alexandria commemorates this year.

The Patriarch then traveled to Niabandoue, where the sanctification service was held in order to inaugurate the premises and new offices of the Diocese of Malawi. On Sunday, February 16, the Patriarch of Alexandria performed the Divine Liturgy at the Church of Saint Nektarios, accompanied by Metropolitan Daniel of Axum and Bishop Fotios of Malawi.
