The tour of the Patriarch of Alexandria in Central Tanzania has been completed

On May 19, Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Kidamali Orthodox Mission Center in Central Tanzania, along with the Bishops Sylvester of Gulu and Eastern Uganda, Fotios of Malawi, and Agathonikos of Central Tanzania and Arusha.

After the Divine Liturgy the Patriarch of Alexandria celebrated the inauguration of the new “St. Nicholas” Clinic, a donation of the Holy Metropolis of Nea Krini and Kalamaria.

On Monday, May 20, Theodore made the consecration of the opening of the Holy Church of St. John the Theologian, donated by the Brotherhood of the External Mission of Thessaloniki.

He then visited the villages of Ilalasimba and Macubike, where he visited the Clinic and the Schools that were erected with the financial help of Metropolitan Demetrios of Irinoupolis.

The Patriarch of Alexandria, at the end of his visit to Tanzania, while saying goodbye to the province of Irigas, thanked Bishop Agathonikos for the efforts he makes for his province, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece, and the Metropolitans of the Greek Church who support and help the Patriarchate of Alexandria in its missionary activities.
