Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa is visiting Zambia. On Saturday, February 22, the Patriarch will visit Chirundu District (Vlahakis region) to lay the foundation stone in the new Missionary Center of the Holy Metropolis of Zambia.
Recently, in a ceremony held by Metropolitan Ioannis of Zambia in the Vlahakis region, a big enough piece of land was given to the Metropolis of Zambia to build a church, a school and a missionary center.
During his last visit to the area, Metropolitan Ioannis of Zambia performed a Trisagion service at the Vlahakis’ tombs, in the region’s cemetery, symbolically presenting the residents the Greek flag, an icon of the Virgin Mary and the Bible.
