The Patriarch of Alexandria met Greek PM Alexis Tsipras

Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria held a meeting with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at the Maximos Mansion.

During the meeting the Primate of the Church of Alexandria informed the prime minister about the important social, charitable and spiritual work of the Patriarchate in Egypt and in Africa in general.

Furthermore, Patriarch Theodore referred to the very good Greek-Egyptian relations the conference “Mediterranean Sea, our own sea, our homeland”, which took place on Saturday, April 13, at the conference room of the Ministry of Digital Policy, while thanking Alexis Tsipras for Greece’s support to the Patriarchate of Alexandria.

On his part, Alexis Tsipras welcomed the Patriarch of Alexandria, expressing his joy at this meeting, adding that the support of the Greek government in the work of the Church of Alexandria would continue.

It must be mentioned that the Patriarch of Alexandria offered to Alexis Tsipras a commemorative gift.
