The new hierarchs of the Patriarchate of Alexandria

After the end of the proceedings of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, the Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa, together with all the Hierarchs of the Throne of St. Mark, went to the holy chapel of Saints Theodores, where the Great Message of the Elected Bishop Germanos was given.

The Elected Bishop of Tamiathus, Germanos, was born in 1951 in Drymos, Thessaloniki. He studied Theology at the Schools of the Holy Monastery of Saint Anastasia the Pharmakolytria, Patmias School and the Theological School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He was ordained a Deacon by Metropolitan Paul of Veroia, Naoussa and Campania, on May 9, 1977. He was elected Auxiliary Bishop of Tamiathus, on October 9, 2019.

The Elected Μetropolitan of Accra, Petros (worldly Panagiotis Parginos) was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a graduate of the SAHETI School. He studied English and Greek Literature at the universities of Witwatersrand and Johannesburg. He taught Greek Language and Culture at the SAHETI and was appointed Head of the Greek Department at the Medium and High School of the School. He was elected Metropolitan of Accra, on 09/10/2019.

The Elected Provincial Bishop of Kisumu, Markos Theodosis, was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, to Greek Cypriot parents. He graduated from an English middle school and went to Benoni Greek High School where he grew up and later became a priest at St. Athanasius Church of the Greek Community in Benoni. He studied Theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a scholarship from the Ministry of Macedonia, graduating in 2002.
