The Ecumenical Patriarch at the Halki seminary

The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew went to the Halki seminary on Thursday afternoon.

Bartholomew visited Halki accompanied by Tertiary Patriarchal Deacon Alexander.

He lodged in the monastery of Agia Triada (Holy Trinity), where he met with the abbot, Bishop Kyrillos of Erythres.

On Wednesday, the Ecumenical Patriarch, accompanied by Secondary Patriarchal Deacon Nephon and Stephanos Salzman, of the Secretaries of the English Office of the Patriarchate, attended an event on the Independence Day of the United States.

The reception took place at Hotel “Fairmont Quassar Istanbul”. There he congratulated Jeffrey M. Hovenier, Chargé d’affaires in Ankara, and Daria Darnell, new Consul General of the country in Constantinople
