The decision of the Data Protection Authority to be studied

The Ministry of Education will study “in detail” the decision of the Authority for the Protection of Personal Data, that regards, on the one hand, the inclusion of religion and citizenship in data and documents on school activity and function and on the other, the statement that disciple is not a Christian Orthodox and therefore cites reasons of religious conscience for his exemption from the religious doctrine.

The Ministry of Education said in a statement that it would study the decision in detail and noted that “it will, of course, comply with its policy with the decisions of the Independent Authorities and the judiciary”.

It is recalled that two decisions of the Council of State are also pending on the relevant issue of the indication of religion in the diplomas.
