The Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain establishes the Beirut Relief Fund

In response to the appeals for humanitarian aid, medical support, and financial assistance for Beirut, Lebanon, following the devasting explosion earlier this month, the Greek Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain announces the establishment of an emergency relief fund specifically for this purpose.

Because of the immediate charitable response of our community members, the Archdiocese has already sent an initial ten thousand pound donation to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the worldwide spiritual headquarters of the Eastern Orthodox Church, so that it may be conveyed to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East to assist those facing the tragic and unprecedented consequences of this enormous accident. Those who feel called to assist in the relief efforts by offering their financial contribution, may do so directly to the Archdiocese by cheque or bank transfer. Kindly also complete the Gift Aid form.

-Cheque: Greek Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain. Kindly note: Beirut Relief Fund.

-Wire Transfer: National Bank of Greece, Account Number: 39117401, Sort Code: 40-62-04. Kindly note: Beirut Relief Fund.

The Archdiocese expresses, in advance, its deep gratitude and appreciation to those demonstrating solidarity in prayer and by offering their gift of love for the relief of our sisters and brothers suffering.
