The Archbishop of Albania underwent angioplasty

Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and all Albania

Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and all of Albania entered, on Friday, 26 June 2020, the Hygeia hospital in Tirana, after having a heart attack.

He was diagnosed with coronary artery stenosis and, therefore, he had to undergo an angioplasty on the same day. He successfully had two stents placed. He has made a full recovery today, Sunday. His doctors told him that he could return to the Archdiocese within 2 days.
