Resurrection Service was celebrated behind closed doors in Paris

Easter was celebrated behind closed doors in Paris due to the coronavirus pandemic that has so far taken the lives of 20,000 people in France.

After the celebration of the Service of the Resurrection, the Metropolitan of France officiated the Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Church of St. Stephen in Paris. The Metropolitan prayed to the Risen Christ for a quick discovery of drugs to treat the coronavirus disease. He also prayed for the healthcare workers in Greece and all over the world, who fight every day against the virus. Finally, he said that he hoped that we would be able to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord all together in churches next year.
