Metropolitan Emmanuel of France visited Kyiv as Head of the Representation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Metropolitan Amphilochios of Andrianopole, Archbishop Daniel of Pamphylia, Bishop Hilarion of Edmonton were also present on the first anniversary of the Unification council (SOBOR).
Almost the entire Hierarchy of the Church of Ukraine and Hierarchs of other Churches attended the official Doxology at the historic Byzantine Cathedral of St. Sophia in Kyiv.
Later in the afternoon, according to the Slavonic rite, the Vespers Service was celebrated after the Orthros at St. Michael’s Cathedral. In the morning, the Polyarchieratic Divine Liturgy was concelebrated by the Representatives of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
