Today, restrictive measures against former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko over the Semochko case are being discussed.

The debate is taking place in the court of Petserks in Kiev. Today, while the restrictive conditions were expected to be announced, Petro Poroshenko appeared in court and spoke to his gathered fans.

According to Ukrainian Media he stated, “I found that they (political opponents) have persecuted me again – and this is not something I imagined on my own – to incite religious hatred related to the acquisition of the Tomos and the creation of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.”

The former Ukrainian president’s statements have not yet been confirmed by a court source or an official statement from prosecutors.
