After the Georgian Orthodox Church, the Patriarchate of Bulgaria also refused to participate in the synaxis of Orthodox primates convened by Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem in Amman.
In a concise announcement, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church made clear that it would refrain from attending the meeting and, therefore, did not intend to send representatives to Jordan while expressing the brotherly love and respect for the Patriarch of Jerusalem.
All this just a few days before this “brotherly” gathering, we see that barriers that once separated some of the brothers will be overcome.
