Patriarch Irinej of Serbia arrived at the Tuman Monastery on February 22, 2020. The Patriarch was welcomed by Bishop Ignatije of Branicevo with the monastery brotherhood and the faithful people. In his welcoming address, Bishop Ignatije thanked Patriarch Irinej for conferring the Patriarchal blessing on the Diocese of Branicevo and the monastery, brotherhood and the faithful people.

Patriarch Irinej greeted the Bishop and his brotherhood, pointing out that in today’s difficult time Tuman is a pilgrim’s shrine that shines all over the Serbian Church and into which many people are coming from all sides. “Lots of people who arrived from many sides to the Tuman Monastery are a living testimony of faith. The help they seek and receive from Saint Zosimus and Saint James is a great gift of our Church today,” the Patriarch of Serbia said.

Patriarch Irinej celebrated the Holy Liturgy with the concelebration of Bishop Ignatije of Branicevo at the Tuman Monastery on February 23, 2020.

The monastery church courtyard was full of faithful people. Also Archimandrites Dositej from Grgeteg and Matej from Sisojevac with the clergy concelebrated during the Liturgy.
