Patriarch Ioannis of Antioch made an appeal to the flock not to leave their country during the Easter Day Divine Liturgy.

“We as Christians have pinned our hopes to Jesus, and we have the obligation to spread the Word of Gospel to all the world,” added the primate of the Church of Antioch.

Patriarch Ioannis referred to the massacres of Christians, as well as the migration of Christians from the East.

“Our children, wherever they may be, from all corners of the world, must return to their homeland and stop this constant drip,” Patriarch Ioannis noted.

Finally, the Patriarch of Antioch stressed: “Today we pray not only for peace in the Middle East, but also for the return of our abducted hierarchs, Metropolitan Boulos (Yazigi) of Aleppo, and Mor Youhanna Gregorios (Ibrahim) who have gone missing for six years.”
