Patriarch of Alexandria: The Prime Minister wants to get to know the Hellenism of Egypt

Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria

Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria mentioned his recent meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Maximos Mansion, after the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Saint Sava Monastery.

The Alexandrian Primate referred to the Prime Minister’s expected attendance at the summit of the leaders of Greece, Egypt and Cyprus in November, and to his intention to visit Alexandria. “The Prime Minister wants to get to know you, to see the Hellenism of Egypt and our presence,” Patriarch Theodore said.

Finally, he expressed his joy that the Prime Minister’s wife felt Alexandrian, as her mother was from the Ibrahimia District of Alexandria.
