Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria sent a message on the occasion of the spread of the coronavirus.
Through his message he expresses his sympathy about the coronavirus pandemic, and calls people to pray to God “to show mercy to mankind, the works of His hands, to hush the trumpets of the Revelation, and to bring back joy and peace to people’s daily lives.”
He also stresses that we should not lose hope in God, and calls on the priests of Africa to be close to their flock and to show all their brothers ways of basic hygiene and cleanliness, as most of them do not even have access to clean water.
“And because the situation is serious, comply with the orders and decisions of each country you serve,” the Patriarch of Alexandria points out.
