Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to visit the Vatican on Wednesday

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will visit tomorrow, Wednesday, the Vatican, where he will be received by Pope Francis. He will also hold talks with the Substitute for the Secretariat of State of the Vatican, Archibishop Edgar Peña Parra, and the Secretary for Relations with States, Archbishop, Paul Richard Gallagher.

According to an announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, some central issues of the discussions will be the bilateral relations and issues of regional and international significance, such as the developing situation in the Eastern Mediterranean area, in the Balkans, and immigration.

Finally, on the same day, the Minister for Foreign Affairs will deliver a speech at the NATO Defence College in Rome regarding Greece’s foreign policy-making, NATO’s role and the need to address the challenges in Southern Europe.
