Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium sent his own message to the faithful on the occasion of the Feast of the Annunciation of the Theotokos, which is celebrated today, on the 25th of March.
“Humanity experiences a very difficult period. However, this day offers us the opportunity to consider the true meaning of this great Feast of the Annunciation of the Theotokos, which saved the Greek people, and of the creation of the Greek state, which saved our homeland,” he said.
Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium called on the faithful “to pray to the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who, with the help of our Most Holy Lady, will redeem and save the people during this difficult period.”
