On Saturday, March 7, 2020, Metropolitan Anthimos of Alexandroupolis met US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt in the margins of his visit to Alexandroupolis.
The US ambassador, accompanied by US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer, US Consul General in Thessaloniki Gregory Pfleger and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Kostas Karamanlis, visited Alexandroupolis to express their support for Greece and Alexandroupolis during the difficult events that have taken place in recent days.
Shortly before their departure for Athens, the Metropolitan had a constructive discussion on matters related to Alexandroupolis.
