The Metropolitan, during an event at the Town Hall of Ermoupoli in Syros, called on local authorities to expresses their heartfelt support and sympathy to the families of the hostages and to pray for their release.

As he told ANA-MPA, “I am worried about them and have been praying from the first day of their abduction. I travel with sailors every day,  and therefore, I understand their anxieties, dreams, and their suffering. I sympathise with their families who, in these Holy Days, live in fear and feel anxious.”
