The president of Serbia, Alexandar Vucic, informed Patriarch Irenej of Serbs about the dialogue platform of the Albanians, which was approved last Thursday by the Parliament of Kosovo.
“We examined closely the plan of Pristina and explained to the Patriarch the dangers entailed in the Albanian ‘platform’ for Serbia […] We shall always listen to the Church’s views, and shall inform the Patriarch for every move we make in the future” stated Alexandar Vucic to the press after the completion of the meeting.
The president of Serbia repeated that the aims of the Albanians in Kosovo with the dialogue platform are “an insult to common sense”. He stressed that Serbia wants the dialogue but it shall never accept the terms posed by Pristina, according to ANA-MPA.
The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC), Patriarch Irenej expressed his content for the cooperation between State and Church. “Such meetings should be more often, so as to deal with similar situations and search for the best solution” stressed the Patriarch of Serbs, after his meeting with the political leadership of Serbia, as ANA-MPA concludes.
