On Saturday, February 15, Bishop Maximos of Melitene met the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Montpellier, Pierre-Marie Carré, and Roman Catholic Bishop, Allain Guellec.
The meeting was held at the Archbishop’s Palace where they discussed issues related to the area’s Christians as well as co-organizing pilgrimage tours in Greece and Constantinople.
The Bishop of Melitene sent the greetings of Metropolitan Emmanuel of France and offered a Byzantine pectoral cross on his behalf to Archbishop Pierre-Marie Carré.
On Sunday, February 16, Bishop Maximos presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Church of Saint Filothei in Montpellier.
The city authorities and representatives of the Roman Catholic Church attended the Divine Liturgy.
