Invitation of the Archbishop of Athens to the Ecumenical Patriarch to visit Athens

Bishop Symeon of Thespies, Protesyncellus of the Archdiocese of Athens, visited today, Wednesday, April 17, the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

The Bishop of Thespies was received by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, to whom Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece had sent an invitation to visit Greece and to officiate at the inauguration ceremony of the “Agios Porphyrios” Center for Gerontology and Welfare Support in Dilessi of Viotia, in the presence of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos.

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew accepted the invitation and asked the Bishop of Thespies to convey his heartfelt wishes to Archbishop Ieronymos, in view of the celebration of Holy Easter.
