The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kostas Vlasis, visited the St. Demetrios Greek American School of Astoria.
According to his post on Facebook he was “thrilled to visit the Greek school of St. Demetrios in Astoria, where more than 800 children learn the Greek language and participate in Greek education, keeping the history, culture and tradition of our country alive.”
The Deputy Minister also congratulated warmly the supporters of this endeavor, as well as the pupils and students who keep Greece in their hearts.
