Greek Deputy Foreign Minister met Ambassador of Israel

Deputy Foreign Minister Konstatinos Vlasis met yesterday the Ambassador of Israel to Greece, Yossi Amrani.

The ambassador informed the deputy minister about the internal situation after the recent elections in Israel. He also highlighted the excellent Greek-Israeli relations, which cover many different areas beyond energy issues. He also referred to the great potential of this bilateral cooperation and underlined the significant role of diaspora in promoting national issues.

On his part, the deputy minister referred to the events taking place in Evros and on the East Aegean islands while placing focus on the readiness of Greece to guard its borders. Vlasis also highlighted that Greece and Israel are major pillars of stability, peace and security in the southeastern Mediterranean while making special reference to the EastMed pipeline. Finally, he mentioned the successful trilateral cooperation between Greece, Cyprus and Israel on diaspora issues and the need to further develop it.
