The Funeral Service of one of the most prominent Orthodox theologians in the West and protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Father Boris Bobrinskoy, was performed at the Orthodox Monastery of Our Lady of All Protection in Bussy-en-Othe, France.
The Funeral Service was performed by Metropolitan Emmanuel of France and by priests and deacons of the local Orthodox Churches. Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium, Archbishop Job of Telmessos and the Bishop Simeon of Domodedovo also attended the performance and the celebration of the Divine Liturgy. A French choir, under the direction of Pierre Rehbinder, sang hymns for the Funeral Service.
The Metropolitan of Belgium said that Fr. Boris was a “man of dialogue, a true bridge builder, a conciliator and an example for all of us.”
