Feast of Saint Sava was solemnly celebrated in Banja Luka

Bishop Jefrem of Banja Luka celebrated the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral Church of Christ the Saviour in Banja Luka on January 27, 2020, on the feast of Saint Sava.

After the Liturgy, the rite of blessing and breaking the slava cake. As in previous years, in a spirit of the Saint Sava’s tradition, there was reciting and giving of gifts to the younger members of the Church, among which there were children from the Orthodox kindergarten “Little Angel.”

The feast day of Saint Sava was also celebrated in all schools on the territory of the city of Banja Luka.

In the Cultural Centre “Banski dvor” a traditional Saint Sava’s Academy was held. The Academy was also attended by Minister of Education and Culture of the Republika Srpska Natalija Trivic, Mayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojicic, Director of the Secretariat for Religions of the Republic Dragan Davidovic, General Consul of the Republic of Serbia to Banja Luka Vladimir Nikolic, clergy of the Diocese of Banja Luka and many believers.
