Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Archbishop Ieronymos acknowledged Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kiev

The name of the new Head of the Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kiev, is now written in the Diptychs of the Church of Greece.

During the Patriarchal and Polyarchieratic Co-liturgy at the Church of the Acheiropoietos in Thessaloniki, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece acknowledged together for the first time Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kiev, the new Head of the Church of Ukraine.

The fact that the Metropolitan Epiphanius was firstly acknowledged in Greece is something of great importance. The message was twofold; On the one hand, the Church of Greece is the first Church to recognise the new Church of Ukraine, which supports and stands on the side of the Ecumenical Patriarch. On the other hand, they all put aside their recent differences of opinion for a common cause.
