On Saturday evening, the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and Metropolis of San Francisco Philoptochos hosted a dinner in honor of Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and presented him with a $25,000 check to assist in the rebuilding efforts of St. Nicholas National Shrine at the World Trade Center.
The Metropolis Philoptochos presented the Archbishop with a set of vestments. Archbishop Elpidophoros is in California attending the annual FDF competition.
