In his congratulatory letter to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonis Diamataris, he states that “the appointment of a distinguished member of the Greek expats here in the United States to the high position of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs is a recognition of your great contribution so far to common things and public discourse, but also an indication that the new government, of which you are a prominent member, will pay due attention to the problems of the expatriates and will cooperate with the church here.”
