The Greek Orthodox Community of Leeds solemnly celebrated the feast of the Three Holy Hierarchs on Sunday, January 26, 2020, after changing the date of the celebration.

Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain presided over the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy. In his homily, the Archbishop referred to the personalities of the Holy Three Hierarchs, the significance of their work to us to this day at theological and liturgical level, and their contribution to Greek education.

In his speech, Community Secretary Dr. Giorgios Karagiorgis, on behalf of President Pavlos Kavazis, spoke about the most significant moments in the history of the Community of Leeds with emphasis on the recent years during which they have embraced many compatriots from Cyprus and Greece who have given new impetus to the Community.

Subsequently, Archbishop Nikitas thanked the mayor and other officials for their presence at the celebrations, and all those who worked all these years in the Community.
