Christmas table by “Apostoli” NGO for 3,000 families in Greece

“Apostoli” NGO is carrying out a Christmas campaign in Thrace, Macedonia, Epirus and Attiki offering essential items for the Christmas table to over 3,000 families and gifts to children while childcare items were given to families in Thrace, who had a child in 2019.

The General Director of the “Apostoli” NGO of the Archdiocese of Athens, Konstantinos Dimtsas, traveled with his associates – courtesy of the Aegean Airlines – to Didymoteicho, Orestiada, Alexandroupoli, Xanthi, Komotini, in cooperation with the local Metropolises, and visited families and schools in an effort to support those who live in the outermost regions and those affected by the financial crisis.

The Metropolises of Nea Ionia and Philadelphia, Ioannina, and Langadas hosted a Christmas dinner in collaboration with Metropolitans Gabriel of Nea Ionia, Maximos of Ioannina, and Ioannis of Langadas.

Addressing families and children, Konstantinos Dimtsas reiterated the wish of Archbishop Ieronymos, “This year’s Christmas let us see Christ’s face in our neighbor, the hungry, the foreign, the prisoner, the sick.
