With the blessings of Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kiev and All Ukraine and of Metropolitan Ioannis of Langadas, Liti and Rentina, a group of clergy and lay pilgrims from the Ukrainian Autocephalous Church, mostly from the city of Rivne, attended yesterday, August 15, 2019, at the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Langadas.
Bishop Epiphanius of Olbia, the first Greek Bishop of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Church, being elected and ordained some time ago in Kiev, presided over the Divine Liturgy.
Clergymen of the Holy Metropolis of Langadas concelebrated with the Bishop and the clergy of the Church of Ukraine.
They are the same Ukrainian pilgrims who had recently concelebrated with Abbot Alexios and members of his Brotherhood at the Xenophontos monastery on Mount Athos on the occasion of the Feast of the Great Martyr Panteleimon on August 9, 2019.
The hymns of the Divine Liturgy were sung in both Greek and Ukrainian.
