Bishop of Banja Luka met Serbian President

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, visited the construction site of the Serbian and Russian Orthodox Cathedral and the Spiritual-cultural center in Banja Luka, where he was welcomed by Bishop Jefrem of Banja Luka on July 23, 2020.

President Vucic and a delegation of the Republic of  Serbia were accompanied by the President of Republika Srpska, Zeljka Cvijanovic, the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, Minister of Interior of Republika Srpska, Dragan Lukac, and the Mayor of Banja Luka, Igor Radojicic.

The president of Serbia ended his official visit to Banja Luka by overseeing the works on the construction of the Serbian and Russian Orthodox Church.

“We are glad that Serbia is strong because it is important for us as well,” said Bishop Jefrem, who introduced President Vucic to the future capacities of the Center, which would cover 6,000 square meters.

The delegation of the Republic of Serbia that arrived in Banja Luka, besides President Vucic, included the Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin, the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, and the Minister of Health, Zlatibor Loncar.
