On Thursday, October 17, 2019, Bishop Apostolos of Medeia, accompanied by Nicholas Anton, the Director of the Department of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations of the GOA, attended the banquet of the 22nd Sobor (clergy-laity) of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the United States of America as the representative of Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.
The event included Ukrainian cultural performances in dance and music peppered between speeches and greetings. Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew sent a message, and remarks from Archbishop Elpidophoros were delivered by Bishop Apostolos.
