At St. Barbara’s Sanctuary, in the homonymous Municipal of Athens, an Archieratic Divine Liturgy was held in front of the Holy Icon of Virgin Mary Hodegetria (Leader) and Eleousa (Mercy Giving) of Tikhvin, Russia.
Metropolitan Theocletos of Vrestheni presided the Divine Liturgy, assisted by Metropolitan Emmanuel of Ptolemais and Bishop Agathangelos of the Fener, along with the Primate of the Holy Sanctuary, Archimandrite Damaskinos Damianakis.
Metropolitan Emmanuel of Ptolemais was also the one who preached God’s Word.
