On his Twitter account, Archbishop Elpidophoros praised Joaquin Phoenix’s acceptance speech while accepting the 2020 Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Arthur Fleck in Joker (2019).
The Archbishop tweeted, “When we praise God it’s not in isolation from His creation and His creatures. We‘re always in communion with everyone and everything. Are we stewards of these relationships or mere exploiters?”.
