Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Dyrres and All Albania, in an article in Greek newspaper TA NEA, speaks of the “immeasurable hope” that Resurrection brings, “a hope based on the joyful news that the inexorable enemy of man, death, has been beaten”.
“Resurrection enhances the hope that any deadly act that crashes life shall be defeated. It enhances the hope that, in the end, injustice, envy, corruption, dark interests that go along the deceitful lie and ruthless arrogance and destroy peace leading society to impoverishment and decay, shall be defeated”, emphasized Anastasios.
But this hope, as the Archbishop continues, “empowers all church members –all of us- in our everyday struggle, to endure sadness, false charges, illnesses, failures, poverty, and the deep pain caused by the death of our loved ones”.
“May our Lord of Hope fill our souls with enormous joy and peace springing from faith […] Let us pray that the Crucified and Resurrected Jesus Christ, the Head of our Church, endows us with this everlasting hope. Happy Easter”, Anastasios wished everyone.
