A delegation of the Church of Crete at the Phanar for the name day of the Ecumenical Patriarch

The Church of Crete payed its respect and presented its devotion to the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, through its delegation, which went to the Phanar for the name day of the Ecumenical Patriarch.

The committee consisted of the Metropolitans Eugenios of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Amphilochios of Kissamos and Selino, and Damaskinos of Kydonia and Apokoronas, Archimandrite Prodromos Xenakis and Dimitrios Milathianakis, Protekdikos of the Holy Church of Christ and legal counselor of the Church of Crete.

After the end of the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Holy Apostles Bartholomew and Barnabas in the Patriarchal Church of St. George, the Ecumenical Patriarch received the delegation of the Church of Crete in his office.

There, the Metropolitan of Kydonia expressed the respect and dedication of the hierarchy, the holy clergy, the monastic brotherhoods and the people of Crete, to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

The Ecumenical Patriarch thanked the representatives of the Church of Crete and assured them of the Mother Church’s love.
