The initiative of the Plenary of the Presidents of the Greek Bar Associations for the reunification of the Parthenon sculptures has come since today under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic.
The President of the Republic, according to a plenary announcement, after praising this undertaking and recognizing its supreme national importance, placed it under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic.
As the plenary announced, the first formal sitting of the Panhellenic Committee for the Return of the Parthenon Sculptures will be held on January 20, 2020, in the presence of the President of the Republic.
In addition to the 58 scientific, academic and social institutions that have already been invited, the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Church of Greece will also be invited to the sitting.
